Educational Q&A

This verse is a colophon rather than a doctrinal statement: it teaches the importance of faithful transmission—clearly marking where a narrated unit ends, preserving the integrity of the sages’ dialogue and the epic’s lineage-based account.

The narration pauses to formally close a chapter within the Ādi Parva’s Sambhava Parva, identifying the setting as a sages’ dialogue and indicating that the chapter count has reached 125 (as expressed in the traditional compound ordinal).
