तस्मिंश्न॒ यजमाने वै धर्मात्मनि महाभुजे । उपागमंस्ततो देवा: सेन्द्रा देवर्षिभि: सह,“एक समय वे महाबाहु धर्मात्मा नरेश जब यज्ञ करने लगे, उस समय इन्द्र आदि देवता देवर्षियोंके साथ उस यज्ञमें पधारे थे

tasmiṁś ca yajamāne vai dharmātmani mahābhuje | upāgamaṁs tato devāḥ sendrā devarṣibhiḥ saha ||

వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—ఆ మహాబాహు ధర్మాత్మ రాజు యజ్ఞం నిర్వహిస్తున్నప్పుడు, ఇంద్రుని నేతృత్వంలో దేవతలు దేవర్షులతో కలిసి అక్కడికి వచ్చారు.
