पाण्डुरुवाच अप्रजस्य महाभागा न द्वारं परिचक्षते

Transliteration

pāṇḍur uvāca aprajasya mahābhāgā na dvāraṃ paricakṣate |

Translation

పాండుడు పలికెను—ఓ మహాభాగ్యులైన మునీశ్వరులారా! సంతానము లేనివానికి స్వర్గద్వారం తెరచబడదని జనులు చెప్పుదురు. నేనును సంతానహీనుడనే; అందుచేత దుఃఖంతో దగ్ధుడై మీకు ఈ వినతిని సమర్పించుచున్నాను. ఓ తపోధనులారా! నేను ఇంకా పితృఋణమునుండి విముక్తుడను కాలేదు; అందువల్ల చింతతో తపించుచున్నాను.
