शान्तनोरपि संतान यथा स्यादक्षयं भुवि | तत्‌ ते धर्म प्रवक्ष्यामि क्षात्रं राज्ञि सनातनम्‌,“राजमाता! महाराज शान्तनुकी संतानपरम्परा भी जिस उपायसे इस भूतलपर अक्षय बनी रहे, वह धर्मयुक्त उपाय मैं तुम्हें बतलाऊँगा। वह सनातन क्षत्रियधर्म है

śāntanor api santāna yathā syād akṣayaṃ bhuvi | tat te dharma pravakṣyāmi kṣātraṃ rājñi sanātanam ||

రాజమాతా! మహారాజు శాంతనువు వంశసంతతి ఈ భూమిపై అక్షయంగా నిలిచే విధమైన ధర్మోపాయాన్ని నేను నీకు చెప్పుదును; అది సనాతన క్షాత్రధర్మము.
