समयेन प्रदद्यां ते कन््यामहमिमां नृप । न हि मे त्वत्सम: कश्चिद् वरो जातु भविष्यति,“राजन! मैं इस कनन््याको एक शर्तके साथ आपकी सेवामें दूँगा। मुझे आपके समान दूसरा कोई श्रेष्ठ वर कभी नहीं मिलेगा”
samayena pradadyāṃ te kanyām aham imāṃ nṛpa | na hi me tvat-samaḥ kaścid varo jātu bhaviṣyati ||
వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—ఓ రాజా! నేను ఈ కన్యను నీకు ఒక నిబంధనతోనే ఇస్తాను; ఎందుకంటే నీతో సమానమైన వరుడు నాకు ఎప్పటికీ లభించడు.
