महीपतिरनिर्देश्यमाजिघ्रद् गन्धमुत्तमम् । तस्य प्रभवमन्विच्छन् विचचार समन्तत:,वहाँ राजाको अवर्णनीय एवं परम उत्तम सुगन्धका अनुभव हुआ। वे उसके उद्गमस्थानका पता लगाते हुए सब ओर विचरने लगे
mahīpatir anirdeśyam ājighrad gandham uttamam | tasya prabhavam anvicchan vicacāra samantataḥ ||
వైశంపాయనుడు పలికెను—రాజు వర్ణనాతీతమైన, అత్యుత్తమ సువాసనను గ్రహించెను. దాని మూలాన్ని కనుగొనదలచి అన్ని దిశలలో సంచరించెను.
