FAQs

This verse links specific śrāddhas to specific stations: a rest-point on the departed one’s path and the sañcayana place, indicating that offerings are timed and located to support the preta’s post-death transition.

It presents the journey as having identifiable stages (“on the path,” a “resting place”), where rites are performed, implying an ordered post-death passage rather than a single, one-time ritual.

Follow śrāddha and sañcayana-related observances with care for timing and intended purpose—treating them as structured duties (dharma) performed with faith and remembrance of the departed.
