Determining Rites for Difficult/Inauspicious Deaths; Annual and Daily Śrāddha Rules
ekoddiṣṭe tu samprāpte yadi vighnaḥ prajāyate / māsenyasmin tithau tasyāṃ kuryācchrāddhaṃ tadaiva hi

Ekoddiṣṭa śrāddha is a focused offering done for a single departed person; this verse emphasizes maintaining its proper timing by observing the same tithi even if the rite is delayed by an obstacle.
If the scheduled Ekoddiṣṭa śrāddha cannot be performed due to a vighna, it should be done in a later month on the same lunar date (tithi), preserving the ritual calendar logic.
If unavoidable circumstances prevent a planned śrāddha, reschedule it for the same tithi in the next available month and perform it with sincerity rather than abandoning the observance.
