आदौ तु प्रणवं कृत्वा पूजादाने ततः स्मृते / समभ्यर्च्य हृषीकेशं पुष्पधूपादिभिस्ततः

మొదట ప్రణవం ‘ఓం’ ఉచ్చరించాలి. తరువాత స్మృతి విధి ప్రకారం పూజా-దానాలలో హృషీకేశుడు (విష్ణువు)ను సమ్యక్‌గా అర్చించి, ఆపై పుష్పాలు, ధూపం మొదలైన వాటితో పూజించాలి।
