देवैः सार्धं पालनार्थं च विष्णुरस्त्येव नित्यं पुष्करिण्यां जलेषु / अतः स्वामिपुष्करिणीति चाहुस्तत्र स्नानं कन्यकान्याश्च चक्रुः

దేవులతో కలిసి జగద్రక్షణార్థం విష్ణువు ఆ పుష్కరిణీ జలములలో నిత్యముగా నివసించుచున్నాడు. అందువలన అది ‘స్వామిపుష్కరిణీ’ అని ప్రసిద్ధి; అక్కడ కన్యలు విధివిధానంగా స్నానం చేసిరి.
