Devotee/ritual practitioner addressing Lord Vishnu (Hari) in a hymn-like declaration within the Vishnu–Garuda dialogue frame

Concept: All components of worship—agent, means, and act—are Hari; ritual becomes a vision of divine immanence and unity.

Vedantic Theme: Īśvara as both upādāna and nimitta in the devotional-ritual domain; dissolving doer-ship by seeing the Lord as the whole yajña/pūjā process.

Application: During worship or daily tasks, reduce ego by contemplating: ‘He is the doer, the means, and the offering’; perform nyāsa/mudrā with mindfulness rather than mechanical habit.

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: shanta

Type: ritual_site

Related Themes: Garuda Purana (general): ritual and devotion sections that integrate mantra, nyāsa, and pūjā as Viṣṇu-oriented practice.

FAQs

This verse teaches a non-dual devotional vision where Vishnu is understood as the guiding teacher, the practitioner, and every element of worship—making the ritual an offering of total surrender rather than mere technique.

By identifying dīkṣā, mantra, maṇḍala, nyāsa, mudrā, and offerings with Hari, it frames ritual practice as God-centered and purifying—supporting dharma and inner transformation, which are key themes in the Purana’s prescriptive sections.

Approach prayer and ritual with reverence and integrity: treat the teacher’s guidance, your discipline, and the smallest offering as sacred, and perform practices with humility, focus, and ethical conduct.
