'dhyāyaḥ sūta uvāca / vakṣye 'hamacyutastotraṃ śṛṇu śaunaka sarvadam / brahmā pṛṣṭo nāradāya yathovāca tathā param
Suta (Sūta Ugraśravas)
Concept: The Acyuta-stotra is ‘sarva-da’ (bestowing all), and its authority is grounded in a divine-sage transmission.
Vedantic Theme: Śabda-pramāṇa and guru-paramparā as a means to approach the Supreme; bhakti as a direct upāya supported by revealed tradition.
Application: Adopt disciplined listening/recitation: receive the stotra from a trusted source, memorize with correct accents, and integrate into daily pūjā as a blessings-bestowing practice.
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
Type: forest āśrama/sacrificial assembly
Related Themes: Garuda Purana: stotra sections praising Viṣṇu/Acyuta and framing via Sūta–Śaunaka dialogue (structural motif)
This verse frames the Acyuta-stotra as “sarva-dam” (bestowing all benefits) and as a revered transmission from Brahmā to Nārada, indicating high authority and strong spiritual efficacy.
It explicitly presents a chain of transmission—Brahmā spoke to Nārada, and Sūta repeats it to Śaunaka—showing that the hymn is preserved through trusted narrators.
Approach sacred hymns with attentive listening and faithful recitation, valuing authentic sources and consistent practice for inner steadiness and devotion to Vishnu (Acyuta).
