विद्या त्रैलोक्यरक्षार्थं गरुडेन धृता पुरा / वधेप्सुर्नागनागानां मुखे ऽथ प्रणवं न्यसेत्

vidyā trailokyarakṣārthaṃ garuḍena dhṛtā purā / vadhepsurnāganāgānāṃ mukhe 'tha praṇavaṃ nyaset

పూర్వము త్రిలోక రక్షణార్థం గరుడుడు ఈ విద్యను ధారించాడు. అందువల్ల నాగనాగులను దమనమో వధమో చేయదలచినవాడు వారి ముఖమున ప్రణవం ‘ఓం’ను న్యాసం చేయవలెను.
