This verse preserves a classical therapeutic formula, showing the Purana’s role not only in dharma and afterlife teachings but also in practical Ayurvedic guidance for bleeding disorders and fever.
It does not describe the after-death journey here; instead, it supports the dharmic aim of preserving health, which enables a person to perform duties, rites, and disciplined living emphasized elsewhere in the Garuda Purana.
Treat it as historical Ayurvedic knowledge: consult a qualified practitioner before using herbs like trivṛt (strong purgative), and apply the broader takeaway—care for health as part of sustaining dharma.
