कर्षकाः क्षत्त्रविट्छूद्राः खले ऽदत्त्वा तु चौरकः / दिनत्रयेण शुध्येत ब्राह्मणः प्रेतसूतके

కర్షకులు, క్షత్రియులు, వైశ్యులు, శూద్రులు ఒక రోజులోనే శుద్ధి పొందుతారు; దుష్టునికి ఏమీ ఇవ్వకపోతే దొంగ కూడా శుద్ధి పొందుతాడు. అయితే ప్రేతసూతకంలో బ్రాహ్మణుడు మూడు రోజుల్లో శుద్ధి పొందుతాడు.
