नित्यमुद्विग्नमनसो दुर्भिक्षकरकर्शिता: । निरन्ने भूतले राजननावृष्टिभयातुरा: ॥ ३९ ॥ वासोऽन्नपानशयनव्यवायस्न‍ानभूषणै: । हीना: पिशाचसन्दर्शा भविष्यन्ति कलौ प्रजा: ॥ ४० ॥

nityam udvigna-manaso durbhikṣa-kara-karśitāḥ niranne bhū-tale rājan anāvṛṣṭi-bhayāturāḥ

Translation

కలియుగంలో ప్రజల మనస్సులు నిత్యం కలతచెందుతాయి. ఓ రాజా, క్షామం మరియు పన్నుల భారంతో వారు క్షీణిస్తారు; వర్షాభావ భయంతో ఎల్లప్పుడూ ఆందోళనపడతారు. వస్త్రం, ఆహారపానీయాలు, నిద్ర, సంభోగం, స్నానం, ఆభరణాలు లేనివారై క్రమంగా భూతప్రేతాల్లా కనిపిస్తారు.
