सूत उवाच इत्युक्त्वा तमुपेयाय भगवान् स सतां गति: । ईशान: सर्वविद्यानामीश्वर: सर्वदेहिनाम् ॥ ८ ॥
sūta uvāca ity uktvā tam upeyāya bhagavān sa satāṁ gatiḥ īśānaḥ sarva-vidyānām īśvaraḥ sarva-dehinām
సూతుడు పలికెను—ఇట్లు చెప్పి, సత్పురుషులకు ఆశ్రయమైన, సమస్త విద్యలకు అధిపతియైన, సమస్త దేహధారుల నియంతయైన భగవాన్ శంకరుడు ఆ మునిని సమీపించాడు।
