Garga Muni Names Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma; the Butter-Thief Pastimes; Yaśodā Sees the Universe in Kṛṣṇa’s Mouth

Kṛṣṇa is the Supersoul, and Nanda Mahārāja is the individual soul. By the instructions of Garga Muni, both of them were blessed. Nanda Mahārāja was thinking of Kṛṣṇa’s safety from the hands of demons like Pūtanā and Śakaṭāsura, and because he possessed such a son, he thought of himself as most fortunate.
This verse shows that after Garga Muni’s visit and departure, Nanda Mahārāja felt completely fulfilled—illustrating how association with saintly devotees and the Lord’s presence brings a sense of total auspiciousness.
Because the respected sage Garga had come to Nanda’s home in Vraja for sacred purposes connected with the child (Kṛṣṇa), and after the events were concluded, Nanda experienced deep joy and gratitude, seeing his life as crowned with divine good fortune.
By valuing sādhus, sacred guidance, and devotional practices, one can cultivate gratitude—seeing spiritual association and remembrance of Kṛṣṇa as the greatest blessing, beyond material ups and downs.
