किं मया हतया मन्द जात: खलु तवान्तकृत् । यत्र क्‍व वा पूर्वशत्रुर्मा हिंसी: कृपणान् वृथा ॥ १२ ॥

kiṁ mayā hatayā manda jātaḥ khalu tavānta-kṛt yatra kva vā pūrva-śatrur mā hiṁsīḥ kṛpaṇān vṛthā

ఓ మూర్ఖుడా కంసా! నన్ను చంపడం వల్ల నీకు ఏమి ప్రయోజనం? నీ పూర్వ శత్రువు మరియు నిన్ను అంతం చేసేవాడు వేరే చోట జన్మించాడు. కాబట్టి అనవసరంగా అమాయక పిల్లలను చంపవద్దు.
