Akrūra’s Mission: The Departure from Vraja and the Yamunā Vision of Viṣṇu-Ananta
tās tathā tapyatīr vīkṣya sva-prasthāṇe yadūttamaḥ sāntvayām asa sa-premair āyāsya iti dautyakaiḥ
In this verse, Śrī Kṛṣṇa sees the gopīs suffering at His departure and comforts them with loving assurances, sending messages through emissaries that He will return.
The narrative portrays Kṛṣṇa’s departure as part of His unfolding līlā and responsibilities; yet He remains compassionate, arranging consolation through affectionate words and promises conveyed by messengers.
Even when one cannot feel immediate closeness to the Divine, one can deepen devotion through remembrance, trust in the Lord’s compassion, and steady practice—turning longing into focused bhakti.
