ugrasena-sutaḥ kaṁsaḥ svasuḥ priya-cikīrṣayā raśmīn hayānāṁ jagrāha raukmai ratha-śatair vṛtaḥ

Translation

ఉగ్రసేనుని కుమారుడు కంసుడు, తన సోదరి దేవకీని సంతోషపెట్టుటకై, గుర్రాల కట్టును స్వయంగా పట్టుకొని సారథిగా నిలిచాడు. అతడు వందల బంగారు రథాలతో చుట్టుముట్టబడి ఉన్నాడు.
