Mahā-dānāni (The Great Gifts) — Ṣoḍaśa Mahādāna, Meru-dāna, and Dhenū-dāna Procedure
దానలక్షణాల అనంతరం అగ్నిదేవుడు మహాదానాలను క్రమబద్ధంగా వివరిస్తాడు. తులాపురుష, హిరణ్యగర్భ మొదలైన షోడశ మహాదానాలను పేర్కొని—బ్రహ్మాండ ప్రతిరూపం, కల్పవృక్ష/కల్పలత, గో-సహస్ర, స్వర్ణకామధేను, అశ్వం, రథాలు వంటి స్వర్ణనిర్మిత దానాలు, అలాగే విశ్వచక్రం, సప్తసముద్ర నమూనా వంటి ఆచారార్పణలను చెబుతాడు. తరువాత ‘మేరు-దానం’ను పర్వతదానంగా—ధాన్యం, ఉప్పు, బెల్లం, బంగారం, నువ్వులు, పత్తి, నెయ్యి, వెండి, చక్కెర మొదలైనవి ద్రోణ, భార, పల, తుల వంటి ఖచ్చిత ప్రమాణాలతో మండప-మండలంలో దేవపూజానంతరం నిర్మించి అర్హ బ్రాహ్మణునికి సమర్పించమని నిర్దేశిస్తాడు. తదుపరి పది ధేనూ-దానాలు (గుడ-, ఘృత-, తిల-, జల-, క్షీర-, మధు-ధేనూ మొదలైనవి) — కుండలతో లేదా కుప్పలతో నిర్మాణ నియమాలు, దిశానియమాలు (ఆవు తూర్పుముఖం, పాదాలు ఉత్తరాభిముఖం), ముఖ్యంగా గుడధేనూ యొక్క పదార్థాలు, రంగులు, ఆభరణాల సూక్ష్మ ప్రతిమావిధానం వివరించబడుతుంది. లక్ష్మీకేంద్ర మంత్రాలతో ధేనురూప దేవిని స్వాహా/స్వధా మరియు విశ్వశక్తులతో ఏకత్వంగా ధ్యానించి దానం ముగుస్తుంది. ఫలశ్రుతిలో స్వర్గఫలం, కపిలా గోదానంతో వంశోన్నతి, మరణసమీపంలో వైతరణీ-ధేనూ యమద్వారంలో దాటించు సహాయం—ఇలా విధిశుద్ధిని మోక్షాశ్వాసంతో అనుసంధానిస్తుంది।
