महापातकवर्णनम् (Mahāpātaka-varṇanam) — “Description of Great Sins and Their Consequences”
न ब्रवीति च यः सत्यं न प्रदानं करोति च । अशुचिर्वाऽशुचिस्थाने यः प्रवक्ति शृणोति च
na bravīti ca yaḥ satyaṃ na pradānaṃ karoti ca | aśucirvā'śucisthāne yaḥ pravakti śṛṇoti ca
உண்மை பேசாதவன், தானம் செய்யாதவன்; தானே அசுத்தனாக இருந்து அல்லது அசுத்த இடத்தில் புனிதக் கதையைச் சொல்லவும் கேட்கவும் செய்பவன்—சிவாசாரத்திலிருந்து வீழ்ந்து உயர்ந்த சாதனைக்கு தகுதியற்றவன் ஆகிறான்।
