अभिमंत्र्य ततस्तस्मिन्धेनुमुद्रां प्रदर्शयेत । शंखमुद्रां च तेनैव प्रोक्षयेदस्त्रमंत्रतः
abhimaṃtrya tatastasmindhenumudrāṃ pradarśayeta | śaṃkhamudrāṃ ca tenaiva prokṣayedastramaṃtrataḥ
பின்பு மந்திரத்தால் அபிமந்திரித்து, அதன்மேல் தேனு முத்திரையை காட்ட வேண்டும். அதே கையால் சங்க முத்திரையையும் காட்டி, அஸ்திர மந்திர விதிப்படி ப்ரோட்சணம் செய்ய வேண்டும்॥

It teaches that Śiva-pūjā should be approached through mantra-saturated purity and protection: mudrās and the Astra-mantra consecrate the worship-space and the offerings, removing obstacles so devotion (bhakti) becomes steady and sattvic.
