उपदेशः / Sampati Instructed and the Search Mission Foretold
इच्छाम्यहमपिद्रष्टुं भ्रातरौ रामलक्ष्मणौ।नेच्छेचिरं धारयुतुं प्राणां स्त्यक्ष्ये कलेबरं।महर्षि स्त्वब्रवीदेवं दृष्टतत्वार्थदर्शनः।।4.62.15।।
icchāmy aham api draṣṭuṃ bhrātarau rāma-lakṣmaṇau | necche ciraṃ dhārayituṃ prāṇān tyakṣye kalevaram | maharṣis tv abravīd evaṃ dṛṣṭa-tattvārtha-darśanaḥ ||
எனக்கும் ராமன்–லக்ஷ்மணன் என்ற இரு சகோதரர்களைத் தரிசிக்க விருப்பம் உள்ளது. ஆனால் நான் உயிரை நீண்ட காலம் தாங்க விரும்பவில்லை; இந்த உடலைத் துறப்பேன்.” என்று தத்துவார்த்தத்தை உணர்ந்த மகரிஷி கூறினார்।
