Looking at Sugriva surrounded by Ruma and other women like the Moon among stars, infuriated Lakshmana said;
Indulgence and courtly pleasure become ethically blameworthy when they cause neglect of duty—especially a pledged obligation.
Lakṣmaṇa finds Sugrīva enjoying royal leisure instead of mobilizing the search for Sītā, provoking Lakṣmaṇa’s anger.
Zeal for duty (kāryaniṣṭhā) in Lakṣmaṇa—his intolerance for delay where righteousness and loyalty are at stake.
