Rama’s Justification to Vali on Rājadharma

त्वं हि दृष्टार्थतत्त्वज्ञ: प्रजानां च हिते रतः।कार्यकारणसिद्धौ च प्रसन्ना बुद्धिरव्यया।।

Transliteration

tvaṃ hi dṛṣṭārtha-tattvajñaḥ prajānāṃ ca hite rataḥ | kārya-kāraṇa-siddhau ca prasannā buddhir avyayā ||

Translation

நீர் யதார்த்தத்தை உணர்வோன், தத்துவஞானி; மக்களின் நலனில் எப்போதும் ஈடுபட்டவர். செய்யவேண்டியது எது, காரணம் எது, அதன் விளைவு எது என்பதைத் தெளிவாக அறிந்ததால், உமது அறிவு நிலைத்தது; உமது மனநிலை அருள்மிகு, இனிமையானது.
