'O Dundubhi! why are you roaring, blocking the entrance of the city? I know you arepowerful. Go and save your life.'
Dharma here emphasizes restraint and fair warning: before violence, the opponent is cautioned and given a chance to withdraw, preserving life where possible.
Dundubhi blocks Kishkindha’s entrance and roars in challenge; Vali addresses him directly, questioning his motive and warning him to retreat.
Vali’s confidence joined with restraint—he asserts awareness of Dundubhi’s strength yet advises him to avoid needless death.
