तीर-वर्णनम् / Rama’s Lament at Pampa and the Approach to Rishyamuka
शोकार्तस्यापि मे पम्पा शोभते चित्रकानना।व्यवकीर्णा बहुविधैः पुष्पैश्शीतोदका शिवा।।।।
śokārtasyāpi me pampā śobhate citrakānanā | vyavakīrṇā bahuvidhaiḥ puṣpaiḥ śītodakā śivā ||
துக்கத்தில் ஆழ்ந்திருந்தாலும் எனக்குப் பம்பா ஏரி அழகாகவே தோன்றுகிறது—வியத்தகு காடுகளால் அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்டு, பலவகை மலர்களால் பரவியிருந்து, குளிர்ந்த நீருடன், மங்களகரமாக உள்ளது।
Though stricken with grief, I feel so delighted to see the auspicious Pampa with its wonderful forest and cool water scattered with flowers.
