एवमस्मि तदा मुक्तः कथञ्चित्तेन संयुगे।इदानीमपि यद्वृत्तं तच्छृणुष्व निरुत्तरम्।।।।
evam asmi tadā muktaḥ kathañcit tena saṅyuge | idānīm api yad vṛttaṁ tac chṛṇuṣva niruttaram ||
அவ்வாறு அப்போது அந்தப் போரில் நான் எப்படியோ அவனால் விடுவிக்கப்பட்டேன். இப்போதும் சமீபத்தில் நிகழ்ந்ததை நீ இடையறாது, மறுமொழியின்றி கேள்.
