अथ कामोदामाहात्म्यम् । मोहिन्युवाच । कामोदायास्तु माहात्म्यं ब्रूहि मे द्विजसत्तम । यच्छ्रुत्वाहं तव मुखात्प्रसन्ना स्यां कृतार्थवत् ॥ १ ॥
atha kāmodāmāhātmyam | mohinyuvāca | kāmodāyāstu māhātmyaṃ brūhi me dvijasattama | yacchrutvāhaṃ tava mukhātprasannā syāṃ kṛtārthavat || 1 ||
இப்போது காமோதா தீர்த்தத்தின் மாஹாத்மியம். மோகினி கூறினாள்—ஓ த்விஜச்ரேஷ்டா, காமோதாவின் பெருமையை எனக்குச் சொல்வீராக; அதை உங்கள் வாயிலிருந்து கேட்டால் நான் மகிழ்ந்து க்ருதார்த்தை போல ஆகுவேன்.
