A devotee/ritual officiant addressing Lord Vishnu (within the narrated Tirtha-Mahatmya frame; Suta typically narrates to sages in Book 2).
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It frames pūjā as universal welfare (sarva-tattva-hita) and centers devotion on honoring Viṣṇu’s feet—symbolizing surrender (śaraṇāgati) and reverence to the eternal divine presence.
Bhakti is expressed through direct personal address to Viṣṇu (Madhusūdana/Padmanābha) and through loving service (upacāra), here the offering of pādya at the Lord’s feet—turning ritual into intimate devotion.
Ritual procedure (kalpa-prayoga in the broader Vedāṅga sense) is implied: pādya is a standard upacāra in pūjā, showing the correct sequencing and etiquette of worship offerings.
