Tīrtha-viśeṣa-snāna-phala
गंगास्नातो नरः कामाद्ब्रह्मणः सदनं लभेत् । इंदोर्लक्षगुणं प्रोक्तं रवेर्दशगुणं ततः ॥ १९ ॥
gaṃgāsnāto naraḥ kāmādbrahmaṇaḥ sadanaṃ labhet | iṃdorlakṣaguṇaṃ proktaṃ raverdaśaguṇaṃ tataḥ || 19 ||
கங்கையில் நீராடும் மனிதன்—ஆசையுடன் செய்தாலும்—பிரம்மாவின் வாசஸ்தலத்தை அடைகிறான். சந்திரன் அனுகூலமாக இருந்தால் அதன் புண்ணியம் லட்சமடங்கு என்றும், சூரியன் அனுகூலமாக இருந்தால் அதைவிட பத்துமடங்கு என்றும் கூறப்படுகிறது.
