Determination of Tithi for Fasts, Parana, and Pitri Rites
तस्माद्विप्रा न कर्त्व्या विद्धाप्येकादशी तिथिः । यथा हंतिपुरा पुण्यं श्राद्धं च वृषलीपतिः ॥ ४४ ॥
tasmādviprā na kartvyā viddhāpyekādaśī tithiḥ | yathā haṃtipurā puṇyaṃ śrāddhaṃ ca vṛṣalīpatiḥ || 44 ||
ஆகையால் ஓ விப்ரர்களே, ‘வித்தா’ (குத்தப்பட்ட) ஏகாதசி திதியை அனுஷ்டிக்கக் கூடாது; வ்ருஷலீபதி நகரத்தின் புண்ணியத்தை அழிப்பதுபோல், அவன் ஸ்ராத்தத்தின் புண்ணியத்தையும் கெடுக்கும்।
