तामर्जुनस्तदा5<यान्तीं शक्ति हेमविभूषिताम् । वियद्गतां महोल्काभां चिच्छेद दशभि: शरै:
tām arjunas tadāyāntīṁ śaktiṁ hemavibhūṣitām | viyadgatāṁ maholkābhāṁ ciccheda daśabhiḥ śaraiḥ ||
அப்போது அர்ஜுனன், பொன்னால் அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்ட அந்த சக்தி தன்னை நோக்கி வருவதைக் கண்டு—வானில் பெரும் உல்கை போலச் செல்லும் அதனை—பத்து அம்புகளால் வெட்டி வீழ்த்தினான்।
