Gāṇḍīva-Nirghoṣa Episode
स तदप्यस्य कौन्तेयश्चिच्छेद नतपर्वणा । एवमन्यानि चापानि बहूनि कृतहस्तवत् | शारद्वतस्य चिच्छेद पाण्डव: परवीरहा
sa tad apy asya kaunteyaś ciccheda nataparvaṇā | evam anyāni cāpāni bahūni kṛtahastavat | śāradvatasya ciccheda pāṇḍavaḥ paravīrahā ||
ஆனால் கௌந்தேயன் வளைந்த மூட்டுள்ள அம்பால் அவனுடைய அந்த வில்லையும் வெட்டினான். அதேபோல் பகை வீரர்களை வீழ்த்தும் பாண்டவன், சாரத்வதன் (க்ருபன்) உடைய இன்னும் பல வில்லுகளையும் தேர்ந்த வில்லாளன் போல கைவேகத்தைக் காட்டி சிதைத்து உடைத்தான்।
