ततो रथाभ्यां प्रस्कन्द्य भ्रातरौ क्षत्रियर्षभौ । गदापाणी सुसंरब्धौ समभ्यद्रवतां रथान्,फिर वे क्षत्रियशिरोमणि दोनों बन्धु रथोंसे कूद पड़े और हाथमें गदा ले क्रोधमें भरकर शत्रुसेनाके रथोंकी ओर दौड़े
tato rathābhyāṃ praskandya bhrātarau kṣatriyarṣabhau | gadāpāṇī susaṃrabdhau samabhyadravatāṃ rathān |
அப்போது அந்த இரு சகோதரர்கள்—க்ஷத்திரியர்களில் சிறந்தவர்கள்—தேர்களிலிருந்து தாவி இறங்கினர். கைகளில் கதைகளை ஏந்தி, கோபம் கொந்தளிக்க, பகைவரின் தேரங்களின் மீது பாய்ந்தனர்.
