नार्हस्येवं वरारोहे प्रत्याख्यातुं वरानने । मां मन्मथसमादविष्ट॑ त्वत्कृते चारुहासिनि,“वरारोहे! सुमुखि! तुम्हें इस प्रकार मेरी प्रार्थना नहीं ठुकरानी चाहिये! चारुहासिनि! मैं तुम्हारे लिये कामवेदनासे पीड़ित हूँ

Transliteration

na arhasi evaṃ varārohe pratyākhyātuṃ varānane | māṃ manmatha-samādaviṣṭaṃ tvat-kṛte cāru-hāsini ||

Translation

வைசம்பாயனர் கூறினார்—“அழகிய நடை கொண்டவளே, அழகிய முகத்தவளே! இவ்வாறு என் வேண்டுதலை மறுப்பது உனக்குத் தகாது. இனிய புன்னகையுடையவளே! உன் காரணமாகவே நான் காமவேதனையால் கலங்குகிறேன்.”
