अमोघदर्शी भीष्माहं ब्रूहि कि करवाणि ते । यद् वक्ष्यसि कुरुश्रेष्ठ तस्य दातास्मि तेडनघ,निष्पाप कुरुश्रेष्ठ भीष्म! मेरा दर्शन अमोघ है। बोलो, मैं तुम्हारे किस मनोरथकी पूर्ति करूँ? तुम जो माँगोगे, वही दूँगा
amoghadarśī bhīṣmo ’haṃ brūhi kiṃ karavāṇi te | yad vakṣyasi kuruśreṣṭha tasya dātāsmi te ’nagha ||
நான் தவறாத தரிசனமுடைய பீஷ்மன். சொல்—உனக்காக நான் என்ன செய்ய வேண்டும்? பாவமற்ற குருவம்சச் சிறந்தவனே! நீ கேட்பதையே நான் உனக்குத் தருவேன்.
