वनादस्माद् विवासं तु रोचये5हमरिंदम । न हि नस्तमृते वीर॑ं रमणीयमिदं वनम्,महाराज! उन्हीं विजयी भ्राता धनंजयके आसनको अब अपनी कुटियामें सूना देखकर मेरे हृदयको कभी शान्ति नहीं मिलती। अत: शत्रुदमन! मैं इस वनसे अन्यत्र चलना पसंद करता हूँ। वीरवर अर्जुनके बिना अब यह वन रमणीय नहीं लगता
sahadeva uvāca | vanād asmād vivāsaṃ tu rocaye'ham ariṃdama | na hi nas tam ṛte vīraṃ ramaṇīyam idaṃ vanam ||
சகதேவன் கூறினான்—எதிரிகளை அடக்கும் அரசே! இந்த வனத்தை விட்டு வேறிடத்தில் தங்க விரும்புகிறேன்; ஏனெனில் அந்த வீரன் இல்லாமல் இவ்வனம் எங்களுக்கு இனிமையாய் இல்லை.
