अनुज्ञातं तु मां राज्ञा विजने कश्चिदब्रवीत् । ऋतुपर्णस्य पुरुषो बाहुको नाम नामत:,'परंतु ऋतुपर्णके यहाँ बाहुक नामधारी एक पुरुष है, उसने जब मैं राजासे विदा लेकर लौटने लगा, तब मुझसे एकान्तमें आकर तुम्हारी बातोंका उत्तर दिया
anujñātaṃ tu māṃ rājñā vijane kaścid abravīt | ṛtuparṇasya puruṣo bāhuko nāma nāmataḥ ||
பிருகதச்வர் கூறினார்—அரசன் எனக்கு விடை அளித்த பின், ஒருவர் தனிமையில் வந்து என்னிடம் சொன்னார்—‘ருதுபர்ணனின் பணியில் பாஹுகன் என்ற பெயருடைய ஒருவன் இருக்கிறான்.’
