Vidura’s Recall from Kāmyaka-vana and Reconciliation with Dhṛtarāṣṭra (विदुरानयनम् / क्षमायाचनम्)
इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत वनपर्वके अन्तर्गत अरण्यपर्वमें विदुरप्रत्यागयमनविषयक छठा अध्याय पूरा हुआ,विषमुद्धन्धनं चैव शस्त्रमग्निप्रवेशनम् । करिष्ये न हि तानृद्धान् पुनर्द्रष्टमिहोत्सहे “मैं जहर खा लूँगा, फाँसी लगा लूँगा, अपने-आपको ही शस्त्रसे मार दूँगा अथवा जलती आगममें प्रवेश कर जाऊँगा; परंतु पाण्डवोंको फिर बढ़ते या फलते-फूलते नहीं देख सकूँगा”
viṣam uddhāraṇaṁ caiva śastram agni-praveśanam | kariṣye na hi tān ṛddhān punar draṣṭum ihotsahe ||
இவ்வாறு ஸ்ரீமகாபாரதத்தின் வனபர்வத்தின் உட்பட்ட அரண்யபர்வத்தில் விதுர-பிரத்யாகமனத்தைப் பற்றிய ஆறாம் அத்தியாயம் நிறைவுற்றது. “நான் விஷம் அருந்துவேன், அல்லது தூக்கிட்டுக் கொள்வேன், அல்லது ஆயுதத்தால் என்னையே நான் கொன்று விடுவேன், அல்லது கொழுந்தெழும் தீயில் நுழைவேன்; ஆனால் பாண்டவர்கள் மீண்டும் இங்கே செழித்து வளமுடன் மலர்வதை நான் தாங்கமாட்டேன்.”
