उपेत्य चाश्रमं वीरा: सर्व एव गतकक्‍्लमा: । आरणेयं ददुस्तस्मै ब्राह्णाय तपस्विने

Transliteration

upetya cāśramaṃ vīrāḥ sarva eva gataklamāḥ | āraṇeyaṃ dadus tasmai brāhmaṇāya tapasvine ||

Translation

வைசம்பாயனன் கூறினான்—வீரர்கள் ஆசிரமத்தை அடைந்ததும் அனைவரும் களைப்பிலிருந்து விடுபட்டனர். பின்னர் தவமுடைய அந்தப் பிராமணருக்கு, தர்மத்திற்கேற்ற உரிய காணிக்கையாக ‘ஆரணேய’யை அளித்தனர்.
