वरान् वृणीष्व कल्याणि दुरापात् मानुषैरिह | यैस्त्वं सीमन्तिनी: सर्वा यशसाभिभविष्यसि
varān vṛṇīṣva kalyāṇi durāpāt mānuṣair iha | yais tvaṃ sīmantiṇīḥ sarvā yaśasābhibhaviṣyasi ||
வைசம்பாயனர் கூறினார்—“கல்யாணி! வரங்களைத் தேர்ந்தெடு—இந்த உலகில் மனிதர்க்கு அரிதாகக் கிடைக்கும் வரங்களை; அவற்றால் நீ உன் புகழின் வலிமையால் எல்லா குலமகளிரையும் மிஞ்சுவாய்.”
