तत्र सा ब्राह्म॒णं गत्वा पृथा शौचपरा सती । विधिवत् परिचारह॑ देववत् पर्यतोषयत्,बाहर-भीतरसे शुद्ध हो सती-साध्वी पृथा उन पूजनीय ब्राह्मणके पास जाकर देवताकी भाँति उनकी विधिवत् आराधना करके उन्हें पूर्णरूपसे संतुष्ट रखने लगी
tatra sā brāhmaṇaṃ gatvā pṛthā śaucaparā satī | vidhivat paricāraṃ devavat paryatoṣayat ||
அங்கே தூய்மையில் நிலைத்த சதியான ப்ருதா, அந்தப் போற்றத்தக்க பிராமணரிடம் சென்று, தெய்வத்தைப் போல விதிப்படி சேவை செய்து அவரை முழுமையாக மகிழ்வித்தாள்।
