प्राकारस्थाक्ष ये केचिन्निशाचरगणास्तथा । प्रदुद्रुव॒ुस्ते शतश: कपिभि: समभिद्रुता:,जो कोई निशाचर चहारदीवारीकी रक्षाके लिये सैकड़ोंकी संख्यामें वहाँ खड़े थे, वे सब वानरोंद्वारा खदेड़े जानेपर भाग खड़े हुए
prākārasthākṣa ye kecin niśācaragaṇās tathā | pradudruvus te śataśaḥ kapibhiḥ samabhidrutāḥ ||
மார்க்கண்டேயர் கூறினார்—மதில்மேல் காவலாக நூற்றுக்கணக்கில் நின்றிருந்த இரவுலாவும் ராட்சசக் கூட்டங்கள், வானரர்களால் தாக்கப்பட்டு துரத்தப்பட்டதும் குழப்பத்துடன் ஓடின.
