एवमस्त्विति चाप्युक्त्वा महासेनो महेश्वरम् । अपूजयदमेयात्मा पितरं पितृवत्सल:,तब अपरिमित आत्मबलसे सम्पन्न एवं पितृभक्त कुमार महासेनने “एवमस्तु' कहकर अपने पिता भगवान् महेश्वरका पूजन किया
evam astv iti cāpy uktvā mahāseno maheśvaram | apūjayad ameyātmā pitaraṃ pitṛvatsalaḥ ||
மார்க்கண்டேயர் கூறினார்— அப்போது அளவிட முடியாத உள்ளாற்றல் கொண்டதும் தந்தைபக்தி நிறைந்ததுமான மகாசேனன் “எவமஸ்து” என்று சொல்லி, தன் தந்தையான பகவான் மகேஸ்வரனை வழிபட்டான்.
