Chapter 220
प्रथमेनाज्यभागेन पूज्यते योडग्निरध्वरे । अग्निस्तस्य भरद्वाज: प्रथम: पुत्र उच्यते,यज्ञमें प्रथभ आज्यभागके द्वारा जिस अग्निकी पूजा की जाती है, वही शंयुका ज्येष्ठ पुत्र “भरद्वाज” नामक अग्नि बताया जाता है
prathamenājyabhāgena pūjyate yo 'gnir adhvare | agnis tasya bharadvājaḥ prathamaḥ putra ucyate ||
மார்கண்டேயர் கூறினார்—யாகத்தில் முதல் நெய்ப்பங்கால் எந்த அக்னி போற்றப்படுகிறதோ, அவனுடைய ‘பரத்வாஜ’ எனப்படும் அக்னியே முதற்பிறந்த புதல்வன் என்று சொல்லப்படுகிறது.
