स्कन्दसेनापत्याभिषेकः
Skanda’s Consecration as Devasenāpati
अब मैं महान् कान्तिमान् विविध अग्नियोंका, जो ब्राह्मणग्रंथोक्त विधि-वाक्योंमें अनेक कर्मोद्वारा विभिन्न प्रयोजनोंकी सिद्धिके लिये विख्यात हैं, वर्णन करूँगा ।। इति श्रीमहाभारते वनपर्वणि मार्कण्डेयसमास्यापर्वणि आज्धिरसे सप्तदशाधिकद्विशततमो 5 ध्याय:,इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत वनपर्वके अन्तर्गत मार्कण्डेयसमास्यापर्वमें अंगिरसयके प्रसंगमें दो सौ सत्रहवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
abhaṁ may mahān kāntimān vividha-agnīnāṁ, ye brāhmaṇa-granthokta-vidhi-vākyeṣu aneka-karmabhiḥ vividhaprayojana-siddhaye vikhyātāḥ, varṇanaṁ kariṣyāmi.
மார்க்கண்டேயர் கூறினார்—இப்போது நான் பலவகை மகாகாந்திமிக்க புனித அக்கினிகளை விவரிக்கிறேன்; அவை பிராமண நூல்களில் கூறப்பட்ட விதிவாக்கியங்களில் புகழ்பெற்றவை; பல்வேறு கர்மங்களால் பலவித நோக்கங்கள் நிறைவேறச் செய்பவை.
