इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत वनपर्वके अन्तर्गत मार्कण्डेयसमास्यापर्वमें पतिव्रतोपाख्यानके प्रसंगमें ब्राह्मणव्याधसंवादाविषयक दो सौ आठवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ

Transliteration

Iti prakāraṁ Śrīmahābhārate Vanaparvaṇi antargate Mārkaṇḍeyasamāsyāparvaṇi pativratopākhyāna-prasaṅge brāhmaṇa-vyādha-saṁvāda-viṣayaka dviśata-aṣṭamo 'dhyāyaḥ pūrṇaḥ.

Translation

இவ்வாறு ஸ்ரீமகாபாரதத்தின் வனபர்வத்தில், மார்கண்டேய-சமாஸ்யப் பகுதியில், பத்திவ்ரதா-உபாக்யானப் प्रसங்கத்தில், பிராமணன்–வேடன் உரையாடல் தொடர்பான இருநூற்று எட்டாவது அத்தியாயம் நிறைவு பெற்றது.
